Resetting the claw crane control system in Stellar Blade is a simple yet challenging task which comes as a part of a side quest that you take on while exploring the Wasteland area.
To reset the control, you must operate the Ticker, Buzzer, and Cluncker in the correct order.
Many players get stuck because while all three appear on the map, it doesn’t show which is the Ticker, Buzzer, or Cluncker, making it a guessing game if you don’t pay attention.

How to get and complete Plan to Clean the Earth quest in Stellar Blade
To get the Plan to Clean the Earth quest in Stellar Blade, you must venture to the northmost part of the Wasteland area, to the Scrap Yards, as marked in the above map screenshot.
Once you arrive there, head inside and talk to the pinned bot named “D1G g2R” and exhaust his dialogue options. Doing so will start the Plan to Clean the Earth side quest with the objective being to “Reset the claw crane’s system.”
Once you do that, talk to D1G g2R to complete the quest and earn the following rewards:
- Gold x400
- Extreme Nano Element x5
- Advanced Nano Element x25
- Nano Element x50

How to reset the claw crane control system in Stellar Blade
As mentioned, to operate the claw crane control in Stellar Blade, you must activate the Ticker > Buzzer > Cluncker in the given order. To make things easier, we have marked the Ticker, Buzzer and Cluncker locations on the above map screenshot.
Operating the Ticker
To operate the Ticker, follow the left path from D1G g2R’s location and use the nearby movable block to access the ledge on the wall to reach the Ticker’s location. Once you get there, go near the Ticker and press and hold the ‘R2’ key on the DualSense controller to operate it.
Operating the Buzzer
Reaching the Buzzer requires some platforming and pressure plate puzzle solving. First, head to the rightmost part of the area and use the movable block to climb the platform leading to the Buzzer.
After that, on the right side, you will find a movable trolly and a pressure plate. Moving the trolly on it will remove the floor, blocking the access to the Buzzer.
Now, move the nearby movable block near the edge and climb it, reaching the Buzzer. Once done, similar to before, press and hold the ‘R2’ button to operate the Buzzer.
Operating the Cluncker
To operate the Cluncker, you must head south from the Buzzer’s location, where you will find two trolly and pressure plates. Move them to unlock the right door from D1G g2R’s location.
There, you will find a movable block. Drag it near the Clunker’s location, jump on it, grab the ladder, and once you reach the top, operate the Clunker by pressing and holding the ‘R2’ button.
