Within the world of Teyvat, shrouded in mystery and other intriguing lore, one figure stands out among the shadows — Arlecchino, also known as “The Knave.”
With the upcoming Genshin update 4.6, the Traveler will soon face Arlecchino after completing Fontaine’s archon quest.
She is the enigmatic Fatui Harbinger who has been observing the Archon since the Traveler stepped foot on Fontaine.

Who is Arlecchino? Arlecchino the Knave
Arlecchino is known as “‘”The Knave,” one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, and often described as “a wolf in sheep’s clothing” by Wanderer. As the current overseer of the House of the Hearth, an orphanage that serves as a recruitment ground for the Fatui. She is addressed as “Father” by the members of the house.
She debuted in the animation ‘Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night’s Lazzo,’ captivating audiences with her (Dark mode Eula) appearance and mysterious aura.
She has a unique character design, possessing short white hair streaked with black and eyes with a black iris with blazing cross-red pupils.
The animation “The Song Burning in the Embers” shows that she was recruited by the Tsarita (Cryo Archon) after she single-handedly defeated a harbinger with her raw strength without a vision.
House of Hearth
The new animation released by Genshin Impact titled “The Song Burning in the Embers” gives away tiny details that reveal her past and identity.
Before Tsarita recruited Arlecchino, Her name was Peruere. She was an orphan raised in the House of Heart along with some other children in Fontaine.
Crucabena, The previous Knave, oversaw the House of Hearth. The children call her “Mother.”
The house of Hearth seems to have a tradition where each child fights amongst themselves to become the “king.”
This event resulted in Arlecchino killing her friend, making her fueled with rage and making Arlecchino confront Crucabena.
Amidst the battle, Arlecchino awakened her innate power, obliterating Crucabena with a raw energy blast, destroying the House of Heart in the process.
After Arlecchino defeated Crucabena, The nickname “Mother” died with her. The new character foregoes the title “Mother” and rebuilt the House of Hearth under a new identity.
The new House of Hearth now views each other as “Family.” Children raised in the orphanage who showed potential would be enlisted in the Fatui and dispatched as sleeper agents to the other nations of Teyvat.
Our destined battle with Arlecchino in the upcoming Genshin Impact patch 4.6 will surely reveal more about her. For now, the anticipation and excitement builds up as we wait for the final countdown.
