Evil Geniuses has finally completed its Valorant roster, just in time for the start of the first VCT 2022 NA Stage 1 Challengers open qualifier.

The North American esports organization announced the signing of Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond, Alexander “jawgemo” Mor, and Jeffrey “Reformed” Lu, replacing the outgoing trio of Brandon “BRANTED” Ballard, Daniel “roca” Gustaferri, and Nolan “Temperature” Pepper.

Evil Geniuses first entered Valorant with a mixed-gender roster at the start of 2021, and the squad has experimented with a couple of different iterations as it worked to break into the top-tier of North American Valorant.

YaBoiDre first made a name for himself on Luminosity Gaming, putting in several notable performances at VCT NA Challengers events. He was widely regarded as one of the best players on the Luminosity squad, before asking to be placed on the inactive roster to explore new offers.

While he has considerable experience playing Raze and Jett for Luminosity, it looks like he’ll be stepping into the initiator role as Sova on Evil Geniuses.

Jawgemo and Reformed are less well-known names. Jawgemo joins from T1 Academy, where he mostly played Jett, while Reformed has been playing with Evil Geniuses on a trial basis since last October as the main sentinel player.

Evil Geniuses’ new Valorant roster has already made its debut at the VCT 2022 NA Stage 1 Challengers open qualifiers, picking up wins over Valkyrie and an unsigned roster called Asian Ravioli.
