The highly contested North American region is close to finalizing its top eight teams for the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs.

With the conclusion of the first VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 Main Event and the second phase presently underway, we’ve decided to list down all eight teams that made it this far and how they’ve fared in the competition to date.

These teams will be competing for an invite to the next Valorant international competition at VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin.

VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs teams

Sentinels

After winning VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik and becoming the first international champions in Valorant, Sentinels continued to dominate the North American scene by winning the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 Main Event.

The team’s roster shuffle before the start of the third phase of the NA VCT season paid off as XSET finished second behind Sentinels in the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 Main Event. They even upset Sentinels during the upper bracket semifinals and eliminated top NA squad 100 Thieves from said tournament.

The former First Strike NA Champions looked strong at the start of the VCT NA Stage 3 with victories over Version1 and Team Envy. This helped them take the top-three spot in the region and qualified them into VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs.

The best teams in the North American region consider Team Envy as top-tier competition. They have beaten notable squads like Gen.G Esports and up-and-comers like Rise throughout the VCT season.

TSM

TSM FTX Subroza, Wardell, Valorant

The popular North American squad’s road to redemption began with a stellar run during the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Main Event where they defeated the best teams in the competition. TSM didn’t lose a series and took the top spot in the Playoffs seeding.

FaZe Clan

After losing their first match of the final qualifier for VCT Berlin, FaZe Clan rallied back and made it all the way to the grand final from the lower bracket. They defeated T1, Luminosity, along with getting their revenge against Rise as they made their way to the final day of competition.

Luminosity looked unstoppable at the start of the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Main Event winning two of their first matches convincingly, which immediately qualified them into the Playoffs. The squad had an impressive showing in the lower bracket final where they nearly defeated FaZe Clan in two close overtime games.

Rise

The final squad that made it into the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs was Rise. The up-and-coming squad upset FaZe Clan and Gen.G Esports and advanced to the next phase of the VCT Stage 3 Berlin qualifier.

The remaining four teams that advance to the VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs will be finalized in the ongoing Challengers 2 Main Event.

The VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs begin on August 11. The top three teams will advance to VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin.
