EVOS Legends’ head coach Bjorn “Zeys” Ong has been very active on Twitter this offseason. Aside from releasing his comprehensive MLBB hero tier list, he also tweets about the latest news in MPL Indonesia.

Two days ago, he tweeted his top three players in each role for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 10 (MPL ID Season 10).

Players such as RRQ Hoshi’s Rivaldi “R7” Fatah, Bigetron Alpha’s Hengky “Kyy” Kurniawan, and even Filipino import Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol made it to the head coach’s list.

However, Zeys included one player on the list which got everyone confused and excited at the same time in the replies.

The most surprising name on the list is Smart Omega’s gold laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas. His teammate Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso mentioned in a YouTube vlog last week that an unnamed Indonesian team offered the 17-year-old a hefty salary to compete overseas.

While Z4pnu didn’t give an update after the revelation, his recent vlog yesterday showed that the gold laner is still scrimming with Smart Omega in preparation for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang International Esports Federation’s (IESF) PH Qualifiers this weekend.

Zeys also added ECHO’s former jungler Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro to the list, who is rumored to join Geek Fam next season with ONIC PH roamer Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy.

Why is Kelra sought after by Indonesian teams?

Kelra is one of the most dominant gold laners in MPL PH. Known as the Filipino Savage, he first rose to prominence after his dominant performance at MSC 2021, winning MVP honors after taking down tournament favorite Blacklist International in the grand final.

This isn’t the first time an Indonesian team expressed interest in acquiring Kelra. Last year, Z4pnu said in his vlog that RRQ Hoshi wanted to sign Kelra for season nine. The deal obviously didn’t push through after RRQ Hoshi announced its final roster before the season started without any signs of the Filipino gold laner.

Recently, he was also the only player to secure a Savage at MSC 2022 using his signature hero, Beatrix. However, Smart Omega failed to defend its throne after getting eliminated in the lower bracket final against fellow PH team and eventual champion, RSG PH.
