Updated on May 11, 4:35 a.m. (GMT+8): Corrected upper bracket and lower bracket round one that was keyed in wrongly.

The League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational is shaping up to be an exciting event with its newly-implemented tournament format as we head into the MSI 2023 playoffs.

The tournament began with the Play-In stage, where eight teams from emerging regions battled for a spot in the Bracket Stage. The top three teams from the Play-In stage joined the five prequalified teams for knockouts.

The MSI 2023 playoffs is where the competition heats up, where every series will be played in a best-of-five format. The eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will also be a best-of-five series, and the winners will advance to the grand finals.

Here’s the new MSI format explained in detail.

Which team will defy all obstacles and claim the coveted MSI trophy?
