The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) has a rich history in LoL esports. Its teams bagged a total of six Worlds titles so far, but in recent years, LPL squads have been dominating international tournaments.

DWG KIA was the last LCK team to bring home the Summoner’s Cup in Worlds 2020. The team came close to defending the throne in Worlds 2021, but lost 3-2 to reigning world champions Edward Gaming.

This year, the LCK will send four teams to Worlds 2022, determined by the LCK Summer Playoffs, Regional Finals, and championship points.

Full list of teams qualified for LCK Summer 2022 Playoffs

Out of 10 franchised esports organizations competing in the LCK Summer 2022 split, only the top six qualify for playoffs. Their placement determines which round they are seeded into.

The playoffs will have a single-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches. The champion qualifies for Worlds 2022 as the LCK’s first seed. The rest of the participating teams will receive championship points based on their playoffs placement, which will determine if they qualify for Worlds.

LCK Spring 2022 champions and MSI 2022 runners-up T1 have qualified for the upcoming playoffs, alongside current league leader Gen.G and Worlds 2020 champions DWG KIA.
