After letting go of a handful of players from its LCK and LCK CL rosters, KT Rolster has signed two notable free agents, top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in and mid laner Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong.

KT finished the LCK Summer regular season in fifth place with a 10-8 record, qualifying for the Summer playoffs as the fifth seed.

While they faced an early exit in both the playoffs and the LCK Regional Finals, the team came close to beating top contenders DWG KIA and DRX.

Bdd and Kiin join KT Rolster for LCK 2023

Kiin was a mainstay on the Kwangdong Freecs roster since 2017. Just this Summer, he and Park “Teddy” Jin-seong led the Freecs to an astonishing win over T1 that shattered their 24-match win streak.

Bdd spent the 2022 season as part of Nongshim RedForce’s superteam, which consisted of other experienced LCK players such as 2020 world champion Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun and Lee “Dread” Jin-hyeok. Despite the star signings, the team wasn’t able to find its groove in the regular seasons, eventually failing to qualify for the Spring and Summer playoffs.

The recent signing also marks the return of the mid laner to the Korean organization. He previously played under the KT banner from 2018 to 2019.

Kiin has signed on for the 2023 season while Bdd is set to lead the KT squad for the next two years.

KT is set to release more information about the roster in an upcoming YouTube video.
