The nominees for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 have been announced, and MAPPA’s Chainsaw Man is making waves across the board.
This shonen anime has garnered an impressive 25 nominations across 32 categories, including highly sought-after awards such as Anime of the Year 2024, Best Character Design, Best Animation, and Best Cinematography.

Noteworthy are its dual nominations for Best Voice Artist Performance in Castilian and Italian language categories, showcasing the talents of Joel Gómez Jimenez (Denji), María Luisa Marciel (Power), Benedetta Ponticelli (Makima), and Mosè Singh (Denji).

Crunchyroll reveals the winners of the esteemed awards show on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Hotel Shin Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Fans can catch the live broadcast on Twitch and YouTube, beginning at 1 a.m. PST | 9 a.m. GMT | 5 p.m. GMT+8.
Chainsaw Man is a manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It follows the story of Denji, a young man struggling to make ends meet by hunting devils (demons) alongside his pet devil, Pochita, who happens to have a chainsaw protruding from the front of his head.
Denji’s life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Makima, a devil hunter from a special division of the Public Safety Bureau.

Following a series of events, Denji becomes a devil hunter under Makima’s command, and his journey becomes intertwined with complex themes of survival, identity, and the nature of humanity in a world filled with supernatural threats.
