The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) is almost ready to debut its fresh tournament format come January next year. Fans can expect shorter, more dynamic splits with best-of-threes and more best-of-fives in the upcoming LEC Winter 2023.

With the regular season coming up, the European league has announced more details about LEC Winter 2023 tickets, as well as a new event called LEC Season Kickoff 2023.

The latter will replace the annual League of Legends All-Star event and will bring nine different leagues together to “celebrate the start of the League of Legends ranked season and the LoL Esports season,” according to an official announcement by LoL Esports.

The Kickoff will be a two-day event and will be broadcast on Riot Games’ official channels.
