Scheduled from August 1 to 24, this prestigious tournament will gather the best teams from Riot Games’ Valorant Champions Tour Leagues: Pacific, Americas, EMEA, and China.

This marks the first time the Valorant World Championship will be held in Asia, highlighting the region’s growing prominence in competitive gaming. The first Champions event in 2021 took place in Berlin, Germany. The following year, it was held in Istanbul, and last year’s event took place in Los Angeles, California.
Valorant Champions 2024 location revealed: The road map for teams going to Seoul, Korea
For the VCT 2024 season, Riot Games has reintroduced the championship point system, the new qualification standard that will determine which teams will qualify for this year’s Valorant World Championship. Here’s how the system works:
| League Stage games | Teams will earn 1 championship point for each win during League Stage games. |
| Major Events | Teams will earn 3 championship points for emerging victorious in regional Kickoff events, Masters Madrid, Masters Shanghai, Stage 1 Playoffs, and Stage 2 Playoffs. |
All teams will compete in their respective League Kickoff events, with the winner of each region securing 3 championship points.
The top-performing teams in these events will advance to Masters Madrid, the first international LAN event of the season. There, they will compete for additional championship points, bringing them closer to qualifying for Valorant Champions 2024.

Following Masters Madrid, teams will return to regional league play for Stage 1, where they will vie for more championship points and the chance to qualify for Masters Shanghai, the second international LAN event of the season.
After Masters Shanghai, teams with the most championship points in their respective regions will secure their spots for Valorant Champions 2024. The remaining teams will enter Stage 2, where they will compete to secure one of the limited spots for Seoul, Korea.
The top three teams from each region in Stage 2 will advance to the Valorant World Championship, where they will battle it out to become Valorant World champions.
