It looks like better days are coming for the Valorant team of G2 Esports, for they’ve added new faces to their roster.

The team parted ways with Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski, Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks, and Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt, and made way for three new players to join the team.

G2 Esports did a comic book-inspired Valorant roster reveal

In what might be the coolest roster reveal yet, G2 Esports announced the newest members of their Valorant team in a comic book-like animated video.

The video follows G2’s in-game leader, Oscar “mixwell” Colocho, meditating in a remote monastery on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

In his zen state, he manages to find the perfect agents to recruit for G2 Esports — Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas, Auni “AvovA” Chahade, and Jose Luis “koldamenta” Herrero.

Former VCT Champions join G2 Esports

AvovA and nukkye are familiar names in the Valorant EU scene, as they were both on Heretics.

Both of them played vital roles in the Heretics roster that won the Valorant First Strike: EU championship in December 2020, beating out G2 and Team Liquid.

AvovA was known for playing controllers like Omen, while nukkye was usually on the top of the leaderboards on duelist Raze.

koldamenta was formerly the in-game leader, and a founding member of Acend, the wild card team that won Stage 1: Masters. He was known for playing the initiator role with Sova as his main, and for rapping his way to victory with his Acend teammates.

The full G2 Valorant roster is as follows:

  • Oscar “mixwell” Colocho (captain)
  • Jaocb “pyth” Mourujarvi
  • Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas
  • Auni “AvovA” Chahade
  • Jose Luis “koldamenta” Herrero

The new team will be put to the test come VCT Stage 3 later this year, where they will be facing Team Liquid, Fnatic, and the rest of the EMEA Valorant teams.
