RRQ dropped a bombshell after announcing that their star player, Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar, has departed from the team.

This revelation came just a day after the organization unveiled their roster for the upcoming season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 12 (MPL ID Season 12), in which he was initially included.

To address the sudden departure and provide closure for their fans, the organization released a lengthy farewell video on YouTube.

He took the opportunity to explain the circumstances surrounding his unexpected exit from the team after five seasons.

He made it clear that his departure from RRQ was not an attempt to prank the fans who had seen him included in the roster reveal released just a day prior.

“This decision is entirely my own, and the final roster had not been submitted when the video was being made,” he clarified. “I had my considerations that led me to make this choice.”

When asked about the reasons behind his departure, Alberttt expressed his desire to seek new challenges in his professional career, drawing a parallel to the departure of Calvin “VYN” who left the team a month earlier.

“Making this decision has been incredibly tough, and I never anticipated it would come to this,” he said.

Alberttt’s journey with RRQ began in Season 6 of the MPL when he replaced Yesaya “XINNN” Wowiling in the jungle role.

He made a big impact in his rookie season, leading them to a historic back-to-back championship in Season 6, becoming the first Indonesian team to achieve such a feat.

He was also with the team when they clinched the MPL Season 9 championship, where he had also earned the regular season MVP title.

As of now, he has not announced his next destination.
