After winning the M3 World Championship last year, Blacklist International are looking to qualify for and defend their crown at the M4 World Championship next year.

Having finished on top of the standings with a 9-5 record during the MPL PH Season 10 regular season, they only need two consecutive series wins in the upper bracket playoffs to qualify for M4.

While some Blacklist fans are looking forward to going up against some of the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams on the international stage, such as Indonesia’s RRQ Hoshi and Myanmar’s Falcon Esports, Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna has his eye set elsewhere.

In a recent livestream, the regular season MVP revealed that he wants to face Aura Fire and Alter Ego, two MPL ID teams who have yet to qualify for an M-series.

Despite these teams underperforming in MPL ID, they pose a threat to Blacklist International, he said.

“Back in the regular season and way before the SIBOL qualifiers, we scrimmed with Aura Fire and they were strong,” he said. “But I don’t know what happened to them because I heard they were underperforming during the regular season.”

As for Alter Ego, OhMyV33nus said Blacklist International rarely won against them in scrims.

But as much as V33nus and the rest of Blacklist International want to meet both of these teams at M4, Aura Fire is the only team still standing in the playoffs, after eliminating Alter Ego in the play-ins stage.

Aura Fire will next face defending champion RRQ Hoshi in the second round of the upper bracket on October 20, Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. GMT+8.

Blacklist International is also still competing in the MPL PH Season 10 playoffs and will face the winner of Bren Esports and rival Smart Omega on October 21, Friday, at 5 p.m. GMT+8.
