Blacklist International team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna has been crowned the most valuable player at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 10 (MPL PH Season 10) regular season, the league announced on Facebook yesterday evening.

The decorated support player topped the leaderboard with 327 total assists in eight weeks, an average of 9.62 assists per game, the best in the league. He also recorded the highest kill participation rate at 80%.

“His precise shot-calling is one of the biggest reasons why Blacklist finished the Regular Season at the top of the standings,” the league wrote.

The 28-year-old support wrote a heartfelt message to all his fans on Facebook.

“Thank you to the community for welcoming a barbie tank, and for appreciating the shot calls I made in the game,” he wrote. “This is for the fans, Wise, and of course, my family!“

This is the second time a player from Blacklist became the regular season’s MVP. In his debut season with Blacklist in Season 8, midlaner Salic “Hadji” Imam won the award.

Fans were rooting for OhMyV33nus following the team’s solid campaign where they finished first with a 9-5 record.

This was a big improvement from the team’s disappointing 3-11 record last season, which was also the first time the organization missed the playoffs since Season 5.

Part of why the team struggled last season was the absence of dynamic OhMyV33nus and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario, who took a one-season break following their M3 World Championship win.

They are set to face the winner of Bren Esports and rival Smart Omega in the playoffs on October 21, Saturday, at 5 p.m. GMT+8.
