ONIC Esports’ Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol has been named the most valuable player at Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 10 (MPL ID Season 10), the league announced before the ONIC Esports and Aura Fire showdown in the lower bracket final on Saturday, October 22.

The 17-year-old jungler was on top of the leaderboard with a 6.77 KDA, a position he maintained throughout the eight weeks of competition. He is also ranked third in total kills at 112, and had an average of 3.20 kills per game, putting him in fifth place.

Kairi also set another record for becoming the first import in any MPL region to win this prestigious award.

In his acceptance speech, he was all smiles and thanked those for believed in him.

“Continue to support us as we try to get the ticket to the M4 World Championship and at the MPL ID Season 10 grand final,” he said.

Other nominees for the regular season MVP included RRQ Hoshi’s Schevenko “Skylar” Tendean and Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar, Alter Ego’s Syauki “Nino” Fauzan, EVOS Legends’ Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho, and ONIC’s Calvin “CW” Winata.

In the regular season, Kairi was included four times in the Team of the Week award, wherein five players were recognized every week for their performance. He was featured in weeks one, four, seven, and eight.

ONIC picked up Kairi and coach Paul Denver “Coach Yeb” Miranda in Season 10 after they were released by the organization’s Filipino counterpart in the offseason, marking the first time an Indonesian team brought over a player from the Philippines.

Kairi quickly adjusted to his new environment and became an integral part of the squad the moment he joined. He was in the starting five in Week 1, replacing veteran Gilang “S A N Z” in the jungle position.

They eventually finished first in the regular season with a 11-3 match score.

After sweeping Aura Fire in the lower bracket, ONIC will now face defending champion RRQ Hoshi in the grand final on October 23, at 5:30 p.m. GMT+8. Follow ONE Esports on Facebook for more Mobile Legends: Bang Bang guides, news, and updates.
