Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna have become household names in the Philippines. After dominating the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro scene with Blacklist International, many have acknowledged that they’re the best duo in the Land of Dawn right now.

But did you know that they almost became full-time streamers after leaving ONIC PH two years ago? ONE Esports recently sat down with Wise to talk about his humble beginnings in the MLBB esports scene, as well as his unbreakable bond with OhMyV33nus.

The 21-year-old recalled the time when ONIC PH released him and OhMyV33nus from the squad after MPL PH Season 6, revealing that both were initially planning to become full-time streamers because no team wanted to pick them up as a duo.

“We didn’t want to get separate teams,” he said. “There were people trying to get us, but some just wanted OhMyV33nus and someone else just wanted me.”

Then at the last minute, Blacklist International contacted them to ask if both could play at MPL PH Season 7. They agreed, and the rest is history.

After winning back-to-back in seasons seven and eight and becoming the best MLBB team in the world after winning M3 World Championship, there’s no doubt that Blacklist International’s leap of faith in acquiring the duo was worth it.
