Genshin takes the top spot among gacha-based mobile games with a US$567 million revenue in the first quarter of 2022.

The game made US$100 million in less than two weeks and a staggering US$250 million in a month.

A huge chunk of Genshin’s massive monetary success can be credited to its Chinese player base. The country has generated a whopping US$973.3 million in iOS sales as of May 2022. In second and third place are Japan and the United States.

Can HoYoverse keep up with their billion-dollar consistency despite the postponement of their version 2.7 update?
