Chinese organization Royal Never Give Up (RNG) has bolstered their Dota 2 roster by trading offlaner Su “Flywin” Lei to Sparking Arrow Gaming (SAG) in exchange for rising star Zhong “God King” Liushuai.

Aside from their acquisition of God King, RNG also revealed in a post on their official Weibo account that they will also be welcoming back offlaner Sun “Srf” Runfa, who most recently trialed for CDEC Gaming.

God King and Srf will be replacing Du “Monet” Peng and Liu “白学家” Yuhao, who left RNG for Team Aster last month.

In addition to changes to their player roster, RNG also affirmed veteran Wang “Banana” Jiao as their coach. The team notably started the year without a coach after Xie “Super” Junhao stepped down from his coaching role to join the team’s active roster in late 2019.

RNG’s new roster notably surrounds their new rising star in God King with veteran players all with at least four years of professional experience.

God King has emerged as arguably the best up-and-coming carry player in China this season with SAG. The team started the year by dominating the China Dota 2 Development League, winning both Season 2 and 3 by defeating more established teams in CDEC and IG Vitality.

SAG continued their impressive run by dominating the first season of the CDA League and finishing with a 7-2 record, which included wins over top teams such as PSG.LGD, Aster, and RNG. God King then led the squad to their biggest win of the season at the end of June in a 3-0 sweep over Vici Gaming to win the BEYOND EPIC: China tournament.

RNG’s trade for God King is the latest roster move in this month’s ongoing roster shuffle in the Chinese Dota scene, which notably saw Zhou “Yang” Haiyang and coach Bai “rOtK” Fan leave Vici Gaming and Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao and Xu “fy” Linsen leave PSG.LGD.
