Heads up, student gamers!

Through the partnership between the American esports organization 100 Thieves and Southeast Asian campus gaming network AcadArena, popular streamers Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Leslie Ann “Fuslie” Fu have recently launched their respective scholarship programs, according to the CONQuest Festival’s Twitter account.

The merit-based grants cover up to one full year of tuition, which will be awarded during the CONQuest Festival 2023, one of the largest gaming and pop culture events in the Philippines, from June 2 to 4 in Pasay City.

Valkyrae’s Homecoming Scholarship is open to Grade 12 senior high school or college Filipino students and can cover up to PHP180,000 in tuition fees.

Fuslie’s Scholarship for Women in Esports, on the other hand, caters to exemplary female student gamers and can pay tuition fees up to PHP135,000.

Eligible students may apply through CONQuest’s website until May 22. They are required to submit their latest transcript or enrollment form.

Three awardees will be chosen for Valkyrae’s program while two will be picked for Fuslie’s. The announcement of successful applicants is on May 26, with the ceremony set on June 4 at CONQuest Festival 2023.

The awardees will also have an exclusive meet-and-greet session with the two content creators.
