Khaenri’ah’s Dainsleif has got to be the most mysterious character in Genshin Impact.
Like the wind, this character comes and goes around Teyvat. You can spot this blonde, masked lad whenever there’s trouble, especially if the matter involves the Abyss Order.
Despite his limited appearance in the video game, many players can’t help but fancy this enigmatic, charming man, including Australian cosplayer Vye.
Are our eyes playing tricks on us? Vye’s Dainsleif cosplay looks shockingly real
Vye personally built their Dainsleif cosplay from scratch, carefully scanning every intricate detail in the Genshin Impact character’s design.
With the help of a 3D printer, they made the Bough Keeper’s accessories, emblems, armor, and mask. They also painted and sewed the entire costume, including Dainsleif’s stellar cape.
After two months of building and refining, Vye’s Dainsleif costume was finally completed. The result? Absolutely immaculate.
Taking their cosplay to the next level, Vye took plenty of photos in locations that closely resemble Teyvat. He used backdrops that looked like they fell between some ruins in Liyue, inside a cave just like The Chasm, and in the middle of the snowy mountains like Dragonspine.
They also recreated some of Dainsleif’s scenes in the game’s Archon quests, especially those during Archon quest Chapter I Act IV: We Will Be Reunited.
Hailing all the way from Khaenri’ah, Dainsleif is the former knight captain of the Royal Guard of Teyvat’s fallen nation. He is bound to roam around Teyvat forever after being inflicted with a curse of immortality.
Dainsleif also serves as the narrator in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview and in other character trailers.
He is an upcoming playable character in Genshin Impact, expected to be released near the end of the game’s storyline.
Aside from Dainsleif, Vye has also cosplayed other Genshin characters like Kaeya, Diluc, and Tartaglia.
