Nova Esports makes their first appearance on the international stage at ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023).

The Chinese team will look to prove themselves against seasoned teams from various MPL regions.

In an exclusive interview with ONE Esports, the members of the squad said that they are particularly excited to test their might against certain teams. Surprisingly, all of them come from one MPL region.

The members of Nova Esports had a varied response when asked about the team they are looking forward to playing against in MPLI 2023.

The team’s Jungler Hong “September” Yan and goldlaner JunLi “Guoguo” Zeng are both particularly excited about facing ECHO from the Philippines. As to the reason, both of them kept it simple.

“Because they are former world champions,” they agreed.

ZiHao “Sadboy” Chen is thrilled about the matchup against another Filipino former world champion, Blacklist International in Jakarta.

“I often watch their games and learn from them, so it will be interesting to play against them,” said the EXP laner.

ZiRi “Ziri” Chen has his eyes set on the head-to-head with the M2 World Champions AP Bren because the midlaner believes that the squad is the strongest team in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Ri “Mei” Zhou had a broader take. The roamer is eager to play against all the previous champions of the M World Series because he wants “to feel their power in person”.

Only YuanBo “Vikor” Xu mentioned a team outside of the MPL PH. The team’s multirole player hopes to face TheOhioBrothers from North America.

He wants to test himself against the team’s jungler, bestplayer1, who in his opinion is “the jungler whose gameplay is the most difficult to deal with that I have ever seen”.
