Nexplay Esports will face Work Auster Force in the first round of the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League PH Season 7 playoffs. However, jungler John Paul “H2wo” Salonga has already set his sights on another team: Bren Esports.

H2wo’s motivation this MPL PH season

In an interview with ONE Esports, H2wo said that Nexplay Esports is ready to prove that the team is a force to be reckoned with this season.

“We really want to win the title this season as we got eliminated early on in the playoffs,” he said.

Unfortunately, the team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by powerhouse Bren Esports, 3-0, who then went on to win the grand final against Omega Esports.

“We really want to avenge our first round exit last season and win against them this time,”

How Nexplay Esports handled the loss

H2wo admits that the team was complacent last season which led to the first-round exit. “We were very strong last season and we thought everyone was weak back then,”

He added that they were undefeated in the qualifiers which led them to believe they were unstoppable, but that mindset paved the way for their first downfall in the league.

Nexplay Esports’ gameplan in the playoffs

After their season loss, the management had to make a few changes in the lineup for season 7. Jimnest, Chester, and MB were removed from the official lineup and were replaced by Jeymz, LanceCy, and Exort.

H2wo said he noticed the improvement immediately, especially with MPL PH veteran Exort leading the team this time.

As the team enters its second playoff appearance, he mentions they still have a few off-meta picks and surprise composition for the playoffs.

“All the teams better get ready for us,” he said.
