Updated on October 8, 11:32 p.m. (GMT+8): Updated scores.

Stakes are running high as eight remaining teams clash in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia Season 12 playoffs (MPL MY Season 12 playoffs).

Besides getting the biggest share of the US$100,000 prize pool, the champion is set to represent the region in the upcoming M5 World Championship in the Philippines later this year, and ONE Esports MPL Invitational (MPLI) 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia next month.

Meanwhile, the runner-up will enter the M5 Wild Card tournament in Kuala Lumpur.

Defending champion TODAK struggled during the six-week regular season, while RSG Malaysia and Team SMG emerged as the strongest contenders after taking the top two spots.

Team Secret fell short again of making it to the playoffs, while RED Esports MY also failed to qualify.

MPL MY Season 12 playoffs format

The playoffs will feature a hybrid elimination format.

Team HAQ, TODAK, MPX NSEA, and Team Lunatix will battle in the play-ins. The two winners will advance to take on HomeBois and Selangor Red Giants in the next round.

The second phase will have a double-elimination format. As the top squads of the regular season, RSG MY and Team SMG will start in the upper bracket semifinals.

All matches are best-of-three, except for the lower bracket semifinal, upper and lower bracket finals, which are best-of-five, as well as the grand final, which is best-of-seven.
