Execration’s Duane “Kelra” Pillas has proven that he is one of the best rookies in the pro scene right now as he dominated with Harith on the first day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC 2021)
Execration, the runners-up of MPL PH Season 7, were faced with the tough task of facing EVOS SG, the MPL SG Season 1 champions.
However, Kelra’s stellar performance on Harith in games one and two sealed the deal for the black and blue squad in their opening game.
Execration Kelra’s maniac play
It was close in the first match. At the 17-minute mark, EVOS SG tried to secure the Lord as they had the numbers advantage in the Lord pit. As the Lord’s health dwindled, Execration’s Kiel Vj “Kielvj” Hernandez on Benedetta miraculously stole the Lord from the back with a well-timed retribution.
As the members of the Singaporean squad tried to flee the losing battle in the Lord area, Ch4knu’s wall block with Grock and Yve’s Real World Manipulation blocked the escape route of the remaining EVOS SG members.
Long Shih “Girl” Kiat’s Chang’e was the lone survivor of EVOS SG as Kelra completed the first Maniac of the tournament and Execration picked up the victory.
The second and final game
It was the same story in the second game as Kelra locked in Harith once again. Only this time, it wasn’t as close as Execration made quick work of EVOS SG with a lopsided 18-6 score at 15 minutes.
Kelra ended the series with another MVP title as he put up a whopping 7/0/8 KDA.
With the win, Execration is now first in group D and will next face Laos’ Nightmare Esports on Tuesday, June 7.
