Finishing in seventh place last season, Blacklist International has turned their fate around and are now back in the playoffs after a triumphant sweep against rising stars ONIC PH in Week 7 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 10 (MPL PH Season 10).

Blacklist returned to top form with the return of superstars Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario who took a break last season. With the original M3 lineup, Blacklist went from a disappointing 3-11 record in Season 9 to 7-4 this season.

Despite securing a slot in the playoffs, head coach Kristoffer Ed “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza said this might be the most challenging season yet for the M3 world champions.

In a post-game press conference, the veteran coach said the team is doing their best to prepare for the playoffs. “We expect that we will have a hard time in the playoffs,” he stated. “It will be hard because every team is strong this season.”

“You never know what’s going to happen and who’s going to be in the upper bracket or the lower bracket,” he added.

This is an important season for the M3 champions, as the grand finalists will represent the region in the upcoming M4 World Championship in Indonesia early next year.

Team captain OhMyV33nus also shared his thoughts on the team’s performance going into the playoffs and cautions his teammates to keep calm under pressure. He also added that they are feeling confident going into the playoffs.

“The pressure is high because every team wants to secure a slot at the M4 World Champion,” the veteran roamer said.

With three matches remaining, Blacklist International needs to win all their games to earn an upper bracket slot.

They will first face TNC on Saturday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m. GMT+8, and defending champion RSG PH on Sunday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m. GMT+8.

The rescheduled Week 7 matches will take place on Monday, October 3. Blacklist will take on ECHO at 7:30 p.m. GMT+8 for top spot on leaderboards.
