Never underestimate the underdogs.

Turkish-based squad Bedel has secured an upper bracket slot in the playoffs after a nail-biting Group A tiebreaker series on the first day of the M3 World Championship.

Bedel had a few hiccups before the tournament began. Kazue, the team’s original jungler, wasn’t able to fly to Singapore due to health issues. With that, the team had to switch him with a new member, Paranoid.

That didn’t stop Bedel from performing well in the first day of the group stage. In their first game, they were able to defeat Malvinas Gaming thanks to a solid performance from YUNSHI on Clint.

They faced a large obstacle when they went up against MPL PH Blacklist International in the next game. Despite Paranoid locking in his comfort pick Fanny, and dominating in the early game, Bedel wasn’t able to beat the Filipino representatives.

In the final game of the day, Bedel went up against MPL BR’s Red Canids. It was a close match that ultimately went in favor of the Brazilian squad.

With Malvinas Gaming, Red Canids, and Bedel having a similar 1-2 score, all three were forced to go to a three-way tiebreaker round. In the end, The boys in orange came out on top after defeating Red Canids this time around.

With the win, they are one of the first teams, along with Blacklist International, to secure a spot at the upper bracket of the M3 World Championship.

This is the first time that a team from Turkey has reached the upper bracket of Mobile Legends’ world championship. Last M1, representative from Turkey, Evil Esports, failed to reach the playoff after finishing third in their standings.
