After five intense weeks of non-stop MLBB action, the champion of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Brazil Season 1 (MPL BR Season 1) has been crowned.
Red Canids Kalunga topped the tournament in an electrifying series, defeating fan favorites Vivo Keyd in the grand final 3-2, to become the first-ever champion of MPL Brazil.
RED Canids Kalunga’s lower bracket run in MPL BR Season 1 playoffs
The red and white squad fought their way from the lower bracket after losing in the second round upper bracket to DreamMax e-Sports.
However, they were able to bounce back, and eventually eliminate DreamMax e-Sports in the lower bracket semifinal series.
They then had to face the undefeated Vivo Keyd in the grand final. It was a back-and-forth affair, and both teams were eager to become Brazil’s first-ever MPL champions.
In the fifth and final game, RED Canids’ Jump Style picked jungle Baxia to counter the fast-paced lineup of Vivo Keyd. The pick was a success, which put them ahead all throughout the game.
At the 15-minute mark, the white and red squad secured the heavily-contested Lord and wiped out for members of Vivo Keyd.
With the numbers advantage, Red Canids Kalunga immediately pushed the midlane to seal the 3-2 victory in a dominating fashion.

RED Canids Kalunga will represent Brazil at the M3 World Championship
With the win, the team takes home US$12,000 of the massive US$30,000 prize pool.
Red Canids Kalunga will represent Brazil in the upcoming M3 World Championship happening this December, the most prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in the world.
