Furthermore, to unleash Acheron’s full potential in Honkai Star Rail, you will need an equally efficient team consisting of a debuffer, an amplifier, and a healer.
Best Acheron team in Honkai Star Rail
If you’re looking to put together a premium Acheron team in HSR, we recommend going with the following characters:
- Acheron (Main DPS)
- Silver Wolf/Black Swan (Sub-DPS/Debuffer)
- Sparkle (Amplifier)
- Huohuo (Healer)/ Fu Xuan (Healer/Support)
Black Swan and Silver Wolf can apply debuffs to enemies and reduce their defenses. Both these attributes directly affect Acheron’s efficiency in combat. The former grants additional points of Slashed Dream, which allows her to unleash her ultimate more frequently, whereas the latter allows her to deal more damage. Most importantly, having two additional Nihility characters will activate Acheron’s bonus trace ability, The Abyss, which will amplify her basic, skill, and ultimate abilities.
Sparkle is currently the best support character in HSR, so it’s no surprise that Acheron will benefit from having her on the team. Sparkle’s Dreamdiver skill can boost critical damage and fast forward an ally attack. Using it on Acheron allows the Galaxy Ranger to use her skill more frequently, which gives her more Slashed Dream points to unleash her ultimate. Acheron also benefits greatly from the increased damage and crit boost from Sparkle’s skill, ultimate, and talent.
To get the most out of Acheron, you must ensure she doesn’t die, which is where healers come in. Depending on who you have, both Huohuo and Fu Xuan can increase Acheron’s survivability in battle. We prefer Huohuo because she can buff Acheron’s attack in addition to healing and improving defense. Also, with Huohuo’s talent, Acheron gets healed every time she uses her skill or ultimate, which is just the icing on the cake.
Best free to play Acheron team in HSR
If you’re looking to put together a more free-to-play or budget-friendly Acheron team in HSR, we recommend going with the following:
- Acheron (Main DPS)
- Pela/Guinaifen (Sub-DPS/Debuffer)
- Tingyun (Amplifier)
- Gallagher (Healer)
Both Pela and Guinaifen can debuff enemies and reduce their defenses, giving Acheron additional points of Slashed Dream and allowing her to deal increased damage from her ultimate. Also, since they are both Nihility characters, Acheron’s basic, skill, and ultimate abilities get buffed.
Acheron can benefit from Tingyun in three different ways. Firstly, Tingyun’s skill can buff up Acheron’s attack and apply Benediction on her. With Benediction, Acheron can deal additional lightning damage to an enemy. Secondly, Tingyun’s ultimate can further buff Acheron’s attack, although she won’t benefit from energy regeneration. Lastly, thanks to Tingyun’s talent, every time the foxian deals an attack, Acheron, who has Benediction, can deal a follow-up Lighting attack to that same enemy.
Gallagher is easily the best 4-star healer currently in Honkai: Star Rail. His enhanced basic attack can reduce an enemy’s attack, whereas his skill can greatly heal a single ally. Acheron benefits from them both. Moreover, Gallagher’s ultimate inflicts a debuff on the enemy, which not only adds an extra point of Slashed Dream but also heals Acheron every time she deals damage to the debuffed target.
Best mono Lightning Acheron team in HSR
With the addition of Acheron, you can now build a mono-Lightning team, though it probably won’t be as effective as a mono-Quantum team, since Acheron doesn’t have a bonus ability that encourages a Lightning-only team. Nor you can take full advantage of Silver Wolf’s weakness-changing skill. That said, an Acheron mono-Lightning team in HSR is still a viable option and quite a powerful one at that. As such, we recommend going with the following:
- Acheron (Main DPS)
- Kafka (Sub-DPS/Debuffer)
- Tingyun (Amplifer)
- Bailu (Healer/Support)
A mono-Lightning build in HSR would be most effective if Acheron spams or at least uses her ultimate frequently. If you didn’t know, Acheron’s ultimate ignores the enemy’s toughness, which allows her to break their shields even if they are not weak to Lightning damage.
Kafka can debuff an enemy, deal Lightning DoT, and take advantage of Acheron’s The Abyss bonus trace ability. Tingyun works just as before, buffing up Acheron’s attack and applying Benediction on her.
Bailu isn’t the best 4-star healer in Honkai Star Rail, but she will suffice for the mono-Lightning team. Her skill can heal a single ally, while her ultimate can heal the entire team and inflict Invigoration. Thanks to Invigoration, Acheron will get healed every time she gets attacked or receives a killing blow. Speaking of killing blow, the Invigoration also prevents Acheron (or any other ally) from getting knocked down. Instead, Bailu launches a follow-up attack to heal her.
