After two lackluster runs in the last two Dota 2 Majors of the DPC 2022 season, EG is finally back to being an international powerhouse squad.

The North American squad took wins over PSG.LGD, OG, Hokori, BetBoom Team, and BOOM Esports. The only team they couldn’t defeat was the TI11 LCQ runner-up squad, Team Liquid.

With Tal “Fly” Aizik back as the team’s captain, EG’s drafts and overall gameplay execution look greatly improved. The team is currently undefeated when they pick flexible heroes like Primal Beast or Shadow Fiend.

Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko has also emerged as some of the best players in the tournament, so far. The 20-year-old currently holds the best KDA record with 16.42, according to DotaBuff.

Evil Geniuses only have two more group stage matches left to play. They’re set to face Royal Never Give up at the end of Day 3, followed by their final game against BOOM Esports on the final day of the group stage.
