The Wild Rift Japan Cup 2021 is a regional qualifier that will determine the team that will advance to this year’s League of Legends: Wild Rift World Championship.

The main competition will run from September 11 to September 26.

Format of the Wild Rift Japan Cup 2021

The Japan Cup 2021 will feature two stages, the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage.

The Group Stage will be held in a single round-robin format, with all matches played in best-of-threes.

The competition will get tougher at the Knockout Stage, which will be played in a single-elimination format.

All Semifinal matches will be best-of-threes, while the Grand Final will be played in a best-of-five.

Winning teams from the stages will automatically be qualified to compete at the Japan Cup’s main event.

Two teams will qualify from the July and August stage, and the remaining four teams will enter through the Last Chance stage.

Wild Rift Japan Cup 2021 prize pool

This Japan-based Wild Rift tournament will offer a US$60,000 prize pool.

The winning team will get the lion’s share of US$36,000, and will advance to the Wild Rift World Championship to represent the Japanese region.
