The world is getting its first taste of competitive Wild Rift with the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Icon Series. Two countries recently wrapped up their Preseason run, giving us our first Wild Rift champion teams: RSG in Vietnam and Geek Fam in Malaysia. The Preseason run for the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan will conclude in the next two weeks.

The Summer Season is coming up and expected to be even bigger. Open qualifiers and tournaments in the 8 participating countries will be held over two months to draw out the best players in each region.

“We’ve had an exciting preseason for the League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series, during which we’ve seen some show-stopping performances from our invited teams,” says Chris Tran, Head of Esports for Riot Games Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. “We look forward to cheering these top regional talents on and we invite all Wild Rift fans to cheer their favourite teams on as they continue their journey this Summer.”
