The Valorant Champions Tour’s first international LAN event showcased the highest level of competitive Valorant on a global scale. Hands down, Stage 2 Masters: Reykjavik gave us some of the best VCT highlights to date.

From Korea’s take on smeaging, to the dirtiest ace in the tournament, here are some of our favorite VCT highlights from Stage 2 Masters.

5. X10 Patiphan brings SEA to new heights

We would be remiss not to include SEA’s breakout star, Patiphan Chaiwong. He finished fourth on the player leaderboard for Stage 2 Masters, just behind Sentinels’ Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, Liquid’s ScreaM, and Fnatic’s Derke.

Patiphan and the rest of X10 had put the spotlight on the SEA region, especially with top-tier plays like this.

4. Fnatic Doma and Derke redefine D&D

Fnatic had an epic lower bracket run at Stage 2 Masters, with meta-breaking strategies and stand out players.

Domagoj “Doma” Fancev and Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, in particular, stole the spotlight with high-value kills. Sometimes, this D&D combo was all Fnatic needed to hold a site, like in this round against Version1.

3. Sentinels ShahZam makes his case as best Jett in the world

After achiving a perfect win streak at Stage 2 Masters, there’s no denying that Sentinels are the best Valorant team in the world.

Many fans, analysts, and players have been speculating and theorizing who could be the best Jett in the world, there’s also no doubt that Sentinels’ in-game leader and coach, Shahzeeb “ShahZaM” Khan is worthy of that title.

2. Nuturn Lakia’s Sova rush saves the day

Nuturn’s match against Version1 was one of the best matches of Stage 2 Masters, with high stakes for the Korean and North American representatives.

In this intense round, Nuturn’s Seo “Suggest” Jae-young denies a Viper ult, while Kim “Lakia” Jong-min did the unthinkable.

Swamp grenade in the way? Just run through it!

1. This ace from Liquid Jamppi has got to be one of the best VCT highlights

Team Liquid had a lot of amazing plays throughout their Reykjavik run, from Travis “L1nk” Mendoza’s clutch plays to frags from the headshot machine, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom.

Young up and rising star Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen takes the cake though, with a play that has everyone begging for Judge nerfs.
