NBA 2K has a big live event coming up this afternoon. NBA 2KFest is a 24-hour global livestream that celebrates the brand new era of basketball video games, courtesy of the newly launched NBA 2K21 Next-Gen — and of course the platforms built to run the game, the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Much like how the NBA 2K games have evolved in recent years, NBA 2KFest is more than just about basketball. It’s one big party that brings together the different but complementary worlds of sport, music, fashion, culture, and gaming.

As such, the event will be graced by the biggest superstars in the NBA and WNBA, as well as today’s hottest musical talents and social media and gaming industry influencers.

From the NBA and WNBA, the guest stars are headlined by NBA 2K21 cover athletes Damian Lillard (Current Gen) and Zion Williamson (Next Gen). They will be joined by fellow superstars Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Candace Parker, as well as legends Vince Carter and Shaquille O’Neal.

Lillard is also slated to perform as his rapper alter ego, Dame D.O.L.L.A.

NBA 2KFest will showcase special original content, including an exclusive player panel focusing on how the NBA 2K franchise has evolved through the years. It will explore the game’s impact and influence on the players, as well as basketball’s global fanbase.

Top players from the NBA 2K League will have their own panel, where they’ll discuss the unique experiences they’ve had in their journeys from amateur to pro.

NBA 2K fans will also hear from the NBA 2K21 development team, gaining some never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes perspective on the creation of the world’s most popular basketball video game.

In addition to globally available content, NBA 2KFest includes dedicated regional programming in its massive 24-hour schedule. Audiences in the Asia-Pacific region can expect performances from 88rising artists, such as Rich Brian, NIKI, Chungha, Dumbfoundead, and Audrey Nuna.

Best of all, fans also have several chances to be rewarded with some exclusive NBA 2K giveaways throughout the live event.

NBA 2KFest goes live later today at 4:00 p.m. GMT+8, with the regional programming scheduled to start on November 21 at 6:00 a.m. GMT+8. You can catch it on NBA 2K’s Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch channels.
