Bren Esports will compete in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League PH Season 9 (MPL PH Season 9) without one of their most experienced players.

Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr. has announced he is taking a break from competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and will sit out for one season.

In his official Facebook account, the MPL PH star shared his plans moving forward with Bren Esports.

“I’ll rest for one season for MPL, good luck,” he wrote in a short statement.

This comes after his team mate M2 World Championship MVP Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno announced his departure from the team, who joined ECHO for MPL PH Season 9.

Ribo has a spectacular track record in the professional scene, and is regarded as one of the best side laners in the league.

His long list of achievements include winning the inaugural MPL PH Season 1 with Aether Main, Bren Esports in MPL PH Season 6, and the Nationals Season 1.

He also has many international accolades, such as winning a gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games for team Philippines, and the Razer Invitational SEA 2020 with Bren Esports.

His biggest achievement to date was winning the M2 World Championship grand final 4-3 against Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls.
