The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 6 has just finished the sixth week of its regular season, leaving only two more weeks until the playoffs.

Though there is still time for some upsets, the contestants who are statistically locked in and out of the playoffs have now been revealed.

Teams such as Alter Ego, Bigetron Alpha, Onic Esports, RRQ Hoshi, EVOS Legends, and Genflix Aerowolf will certainly qualify for the playoffs. Even so, the competition is still not over as they will still have to fight for the two spots in the playoff’s upper bracket.

While the aforementioned teams stay safe in their current placements, the league’s bottom two teams of Aura Fire and Geek Fam are officially eliminated from playoff contention. With -15 points and only three games to go, Geek Fam and Aura Fire can only finish the season with -9 points. Even if both teams happen to win all their remaining games, Geek Fam and Aura Fire will still only have a 29% match win rate.

Meanwhile, sixth place Genflix Aerowolf currently has +1 point. Even if they lose their four final matches, Watt and the boys will at least have -7 points and a higher match win rate of 39% at the end of the season, statistically locking out the two bottom teams. On top of that, GFLX also had some impressive appearances in Week 6, sweeping both Onic ID and EVOS Legends.

Despite being on top for the first few weeks of the season, Onic Esports failed to win a single victory in Week 6. After taking an unexpected loss against Genflix Aerowolf, Antimage and the Onic crew took another grueling 2-0 defeat against league leaders Alter Ego.
