The only Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League outside Southeast Asia has kicked off.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Brazil Season 3 (MPL BR Season 3) features eight of the best Brazilian teams fighting for glory in the Land of Dawn. This season, RRQ Akira are hoping to defend their title against veterans DreamMax e-Sports, Sons E-Sports, and newcomers Cyber E-sports, and For All e-Sports.

Here is everything you need to know about the new season, including the tournament’s format and regular season schedule.

What is MPL BR Season 3?

MPL Brazil is the first-ever MPL to be established outside Southeast Asia in August 2021. Similar to previous seasons, eight teams, four of which fought for a slot in qualifiers, will compete in Season 3.

The winner will take home the lion’s share of the US$30,000 prize pool and secure a slot in the upcoming M4 World Championship early next year. Teams earn points depending on how many games they won in a series.

In the regular season, teams compete in a double round-robin, best-of-three format. A 2-0 score gives three points, 2-1 gives two points, 1-2 gives a point, and a 0-2 score will grant no points. The top six teams will then proceed to the playoffs.

In the playoffs, the third to sixth placed teams will first compete in a single elimination series, while the first and second seeded teams will receive a round bye to the second round.

All playoff games are best-of-five, except for the grand final which will be a best-of-seven.
