The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) is heading into the playoffs, with Indonesia and Malaysia/Singapore having completed their regular season, and the Philippines going into its final week.

As the three most competitive regions in MLBB, these three leagues foster some of the best talents in the world.

But how do they stack up against each other?

1. Alter Ego

Alter Ego tops the list as the new-age superteam of MPL ID. While the team struggled to pull their weight at the start of the season, they hit their stride and have managed to beat the early season favorites with dominating gameplay.

Despite taking a loss in the final week against the new-and-improved RRQ Hoshi, the team easily ended the season with a win against Aura Fire. Finishing as the league leaders, we’ll see Udil and the boys again as the first seed into the MPL ID S6 playoffs.

2. Todak

Record: 9-0

In the final deciding week of MPL MY/SG Season 6, it was a race for qualifying for playoffs and seeding. Todak played their final two matches in Week 6 and won both of them, completing a perfect season run!

They are the second team in MPL MY/SG to ever do so, after Nara Esports had a perfect regular season record in Season 3. Can they keep their streak alive in the playoffs?

3. Bren Esports

Record: 10-1

While they received their first loss from Omega last week, Bren Esports bounced back this week with two big wins. After defeating both Blu Fire and BSB, Pheww and his crew skyrocket to 29 points in group B.

With only one week of matches left, it looks like Bren will be entering the playoffs as the top seed no matter what happens. Let’s hope the black and yellow team carries their winning standard into the postseason.

4. Aura PH

Record: 9-2

Aura PH suffered a stunning loss against Nexplay Solid this week, but the team is still seated well in the standings. With Aura scoring 21 points in group A, the team is tied for second place with Execration while Blacklist International overtakes them for the first time with 22 points.

Luckily for Aura, the team is still scheduled for two more season-changing matches in the final week. If they’re able to trump Blu Fire and Onic PH, the MPL PH defending champs can easily retake the top spot of group A.

5. RRQ Hoshi

Despite a turbulent season of roster and role changes, RRQ Hoshi has risen from the ashes as a bonafide contender in the MPL ID. For the final week, RRQ managed to pull out a massive sweep over Alter Ego and ended the season with an el-Clasico win over EVOS Legends.

With the team’s incredible adaptation into the new meta and playstyle of Mobile Legends, we’re bound to see Lemon and the boys shake things up to defend their throne.

6. Onic Esports

Record: 10-4

Though they lost the placement tie against RRQ Hoshi with just one game loss, Onic Esports is still a strong force in the MPL ID. Sanz and the boys ended the season on a solid note, taking another win over Geek Fam ID.

With the regular season now over, we hope to see the team realign their playstyles with Sanz as their main focal point. If the team is able to rally behind the supercarry in the new meta, we may see Onic conquer the playoffs.

7. Resurgence

Record: 7-2

In their last match in the last week of the MPL MY/SG Season 6 regular season, Resurgence swept Red Reborn 2-0, which locked them in second place. With a 7-2 record, they only dropped matches to Geek Fam and number one seed Todak.

Are they ready to up their game in the playoffs for a second consecutive championship?

8. EVOS SG

Region: MY/SG
Record: 6-3
Change: New

With a record of 6-3, EVOS SG looked shaky in Week 4 after dropping matches against both Todak and Resurgence — two of the strongest opponents in MPL MY/SG Season 6. However, they won all their matches after to finish the season strong in a comfortable third place.

Fans can count on them to show up during the playoffs. After all, they almost made it to the lower bracket final last season.

9. Omega

Region: PH
Record: 7-4
Change: —

While the team conceded a sweep to Onic PH this week, Omega still stands as a worthy contender to the MPL PH title. With a solid 7-4 record with losses only coming against the league’s known superteams, we can definitely see Hadjizy and his squad making a name for themselves in the coming season.

Though Omega can no longer beat Bren Esports for the group B top spot, the team will have to secure a few more wins to keep Onic PH in third place.

10. Bigetron Alpha

Bigetron takes another heavy hit to their record, with a disappointing loss to EVOS Legends in the final week. Ending on a three-game losing streak, the team has fallen down to fourth place, beating only Genflix Aerowolf and EVOS Legends for the playoffs bracket.

Though it looks like the team has squandered their season grind with an anti-climactic finish, Dreams and his squad could still turn things around in the postseason. If the team manages to resolve their transition issues into the new meta, the BTR troop could possibly have a redemption story in the making.
