When players voted on which hero they want to be revamped in the Reforge Your Legend event, Hanabi won by a landslide.

There are a lot of reasons why many players want to see changes to the marksman hero. Aside from having no mobility skills, she is item dependent, and her only crowd control skill, Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana, is a slow-moving skillshot.

Still, she is fun to play and has potential to win 1v5 if she hits her ultimate.

After almost a year and a half since the conclusion of the event, Moonton has finally revealed more details about the revamp and when will it be released in the game.

Revamped Hanabi can already be played in the advanced server. Her shield and crowd control Immunity on her passive is now her first skill, and can be toggled on or off anytime.

The petal blade effect on her basic attacks is now her passive, and does not require mana anymore.

The mana regeneration on her second skill, Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll, has been removed, and now only deals damage. It bounces towards nearby enemies, and heroes hit will be marked and receive full damage from her next petal blade.

Lastly, her ultimate is a lot quicker animation wise. It will bounce to the nearby enemies, much like her basic attacks, if an enemy hero is caught in the blast.

As for her appearance, the only difference in her character model is the massive red vambraces on both her arms, a huge visual improvement from her older model in which the vambraces only extended from her wrists to her elbows.

According to the teaser, the reworked marksman will be released on December 20.
