Genshin Impact 5.7 banners were announced during the “A Space and Time for You” special program livestream today.

This update brings a significant new chapter to Teyvat, featuring a highly anticipated new character and a deepening of the Traveler’s ongoing saga.

The spotlight shines on the introduction of Skirk, a brand-new playable character. Known for her mysterious origins and powerful connection to the Abyss, Skirk promises to shake up combat with her unique ability to switch between two distinct fighting styles.

Beyond the addition of this formidable ally, a new Archon Quest unfolds, hinting at growing tension between the Traveler twins and an approaching darkness.

This new storyline signals a pivotal moment for the Traveler’s journey, as a new power emerges and the overarching narrative moves into an intense new phase.

Meanwhile, Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter will bring forth charming stories from across Teyvat, offering a refreshing change of pace.

Among these tales, players can witness Thoma’s return to Mondstadt as he revisits his roots in the city of wind and freedom. You’ll also get to see the Chief Justice of Fontaine in a different light as Neuvillette visits Merusea Village.

Finally, observe the cunning merchant Dori as she attempts to strike a new bargain with the elusive ninja, Sayu, in Inazuma. These narratives are designed to provide delightful moments of reprieve, allowing Travelers to enjoy the quieter, more personal side of Teyvat’s diverse cast of characters.

Genshin Impact 5.7 banners – Phase 1

Skirk, an enigmatic figure renowned as Childe’s master, makes her debut as a 5-star playable character. Her lore is steeped in mystery, having once trained under Surtalogi “The Foul,” one of the notorious Five Sinners of Khaenri’ah.

In combat, Skirk harnesses Abyssal power, disguised as Cryo. Her unique playstyle revolves around two distinct combat modes, offering remarkable versatility:

• Sustained Damage Mode: This style focuses on enhancing her Normal Attacks, allowing for consistent and prolonged damage output.
• Burst Damage Mode: Alternatively, Skirk can unleash her Elemental Burst to deliver devastating Area-of-Effect (AoE) Cryo damage.

Both of Skirk’s combat styles utilize Serpent’s Subtlety, a unique resource generated through her Skills and Talents, rather than traditional Elemental Energy. This innovative mechanic allows for fluid transitions between her modes.

Furthermore, Skirk offers valuable team synergy, particularly for compositions featuring only Hydro and Cryo characters (with at least one of each). In such parties, she grants an additional level to their Elemental Skills and a significant damage buff to herself, making her a powerful asset for specialized teams.

Phase 1 runs from June 18, 2025, to July 8, 2025.

Adding to the Genshin Impact 5.7 banner is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro support character. As the Deacon of the Church of Favonius, Dahlia brings versatile utility to any team.

His Elemental Burst generates a renewable shield, which can be reactivated by Normal Attacks or Freeze reactions, offering consistent protection.

Dahlia can also boost teammates’ ATK SPD with his Talent and utilize his Elemental Skill to either launch allies high into the air or deal Hydro DMG to enemies.

What to expect in Genshin Impact 5.7 Archon Quest

Following the “Bedtime Story” quest, the Archon Quest in Version 5.7 delves deeper into the unfolding narrative of the Traveler and their sibling. This new chapter sees the Abyss Order begin to mobilize in Natlan, a crucial step in the sibling’s grand plan.

Natlan’s defenders, including the Pyro Archon Mavuika and her allies, are on high alert as the Abyss Order’s presence grows. In a surprising development, Dainsleif will join the Traveler on the front lines in an unprecedented form.

As the journey takes the Traveler deeper into the Abyss Order’s domain, they may uncover long-buried truths about their sibling’s intricate schemes.

Genshin Impact 5.7 introduces new permanent mode that improves Artifact farming

Version 5.7 introduces “Stygian Onslaught,” a brand-new permanent combat mode designed to challenge even the most seasoned Travelers. This challenging new feature offers:

• Rotating bosses: Three formidable bosses will rotate with every new update, ensuring a fresh combat experience with each iteration.
• Escalating difficulty: Players can test their skills across six escalating levels of difficulty, pushing their teams to their limits.

Successfully completing these trials will reward players with valuable Artifacts and a crucial new item: Dust of Enlightenment.

This unique item allows for the re-rolling of the minor affix enhancements on a Level 20 Artifact, offering a new layer of customization and optimization for your character builds.
