Run faster, jump higher, click buttons quicker — esports are here at the Olympics Esports Week. While we can watch world-class players in ten events running from June 22 to June 25 in 2023, it’s possible for us to jump in most of the same games right now.

Here’s where to find the same games being played at the Olympic Esports Week, and how to download them.

Zwift

Zwift’s virtual cycling can help you explore the world from the comfort of your own home.

Combining the virtual and physical, you’ll need to fork out for some equipment in order to start. You’ll get to see — and ride through — a variety of worlds, with several routes modeled after the real world, including iconic routes like Alpe d’Huez and Mount Ventoux.

Tic Tac Bow

Tic-tac-toe, but with a twist — specifically, a twisty piece of wood that you need to aim and fire.

Shoot arrows at a 3×3 target board, and win when you claim three targets in a row. It’s that simple.

Virtual Regatta

Virtual Regatta is a realistic sailing race simulator. Two different versions — Inshore and Offshore — exist.

Inshore is based on short course racing, with games lasting between five and 10 minutes. Offshore partners with some of the world’s most famous sailing races, and even task players to monitor real-life conditions, which are then replicated faithfully in-game.

Just Dance

You don’t need a club to Just Dance.

Dance the day and night away with popular licensed songs. Follow the dancer on screen, and multiple players can join the same room to compete.

Don’t judge a book by its cover — but definitely judge baseball players on their stats.

This long-running series of games (since 1994) is known for its distinctive chibi art style, and pairs it with a faithful recreation of baseball mechanics.

WBSC eBASEBALL: POWER PROS is available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation.

It’s chess, for free, and online. The game has seen a surge in popularity, especially on Twitch, and Chess.com’s ease of use and accessibility has played a big part in that.

Tennis Clash

Tennis Clash is a multiplayer online tennis game on mobile. There’s solid gameplay here, as well as matchmaking to test your skills against other players.

Fortnite

It isn’t a stretch to say that Fortnite has revolutionized the gaming space in total, and helped put Epic Games on the map. Its battle royale formula has been retreaded by so many other games in the ensuing years of its release, but Fortnite remains a unique example in its genre — and you can play as basically every other character in fiction.

In a partnership between World Taekwondo and Refract Technologies, motion tracking is used for fighters to pit their skills against each other, no matter their physical ability.
