Russian organization Virtus Pro (VP) are changing up its Dota 2 roster after a middling start to their 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit EEU tour.

The team will play with a stand-in for the rest of the current DPC season, with a new roster to be announced after it’s over.

Xakoda replaces Kingslayer in Virtus Pro roster

Egor “Xakoda” Lipartiya, from Team Spirit’s academy, will fill in the hard support role in place of Illias “Kingslayer” Ganeev, who is going inactive to “focus on his private matters and health,” according to the Russian organization’s official announcement.

VP called Xakoda a “promising young player who has already reached 10k MMR.” The org also confirmed that the roster will undergo further evaluation, with an imminent announcement “after the current season is finished.”

At the time of writing, Virtus Pro are 2-2 after losses to PuckChamp and HellRaisers. With four teams above them in the standings, it’s likely that VP will miss out on the top four, as well as DPC points and a ticket to the Major.
