After a lengthy professional player career spanning nearly a decade, Malaysian veteran Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin is taking up his first coaching role for Singaporean organization RSG.

The 29-year-old, who most recently played for 496 Gaming, is the new head coach for RSG. The Singapore-based esports organization signed the entire roster of ChubbyBoiz last Tour.

Ohaiyo joins a team that recently secured a DPC SEA 2021/2022 Division I slot for Tour 3 after dominating Division II. They were undefeated in seven series, losing just one game to fellow promoted team Talon Esports.

RSG will hope that Ohaiyo helps push the team to the next level in an incredibly competitive DPC SEA Regional League. Two players, xsilearn and xiaobonbon, are already familiar with the 29-year-old, having teamed up with him in 496 Gaming.

Tour 1’s promoted teams, Polaris Esports and Nigma Galaxy SEA, have made an instant impact in Division I. Both teams managed to stay in the division, with Polaris just one tiebreaker away from attending the Major.
