It’s official, Singapore’s globetrotting pro player Daryl” iceiceice” Koh is joining European Dota 2 powerhouse squad Team Secret for the upcoming 2022 DPC season.

After parting ways with North American squad Evil Geniuses, the legendary offlaner is now set to join another super team in his quest to lift the Aegis of Champions for the first time in his career.

Prior to the start of the next Dota 2 season, Team Secret released a multi-part comic strip teasing their post-TI10 roster shuffle moves.

The third episode titled ‘Back to my Roots” showed two major changes to Team Secret’s roster. Michal “Nisha” Jankowski locking away a bottle indicated that he would take over the carry role after Team Secret parted ways with Lasse “Matumbaman” Urpalainen.

The next clue was the glass of water with three ice cubes and a jester puppet found in the same comic-strip image, which hinted at iceiceice’s arrival to the roster.

Iceiceice will still be playing the offlane position which was relinquished by Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg, who recently moved to Team Liquid after Team Secret’s third-place finish at TI10.

”Pretty excited to be playing with Secret,” shared iceiceice. “It’s a perfect lineup for my playstyle, and Puppey has always been someone I’ve wanted to play with for the last 10 years. I love camels and I can’t wait to be punched by Puppey.”

The 31-year-old Singaporean pro player had a successful 2021 DPC season run with Evil Geniuses where they finished as the runner-ups of the ONE Esports Singapore Major, and WePlay AniMajor.

His time playing in the North American region ended after Evil Geniuses finished 9th-12th place at (TI10), and this resulted in Tal “Fly” Aizik and iceiceice parting ways with the organization before the 2022 DPC season.

The 2021-2022 DPC Western Europe Tour 1 for Division 1 begins on December 2, 2021.
