Among the anticipated additions is Covert Exfil, a feature expected to significantly impact the gameplay.
Covert Exfil in Warzone explained
According to Activision’s official blog detailing the Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded content drop, a new mechanic called Covert Exfil is set to be introduced, allowing players to make an early exit from a match.
This enables players to call in a helicopter that can fly them and their squad out of the game.
Its primary purpose is to provide an option to let players escape the game with a Weapon Case, another notable addition in the upcoming update.
At the start of each match, a single Weapon Case appears in a small search area. Finding and holding it exposes your location to all enemies.
If you manage to survive at the end of the match, or your squad successfully escapes using a Covert Exfil, exclusive rewards await you and your teammates.

However, it’s worth noting that only five Covert Exfils are available per match, scattered among buy stations before the closure of the Gulag, and they come at a high cost that is not yet revealed.
Additionally, Raven Software has clarified that “successfully extracting via Covert Exfil does not count as a traditional win but rather as a separate stat, and will not count towards Champion’s Quest progress.”
Given that it is considered as a secondary win condition, a dedicated Covert Exfil leaderboard will be established for players who achieve the most extractions using this method.
Hence, getting a Covert Exfil is not only a difficult challenge, but also may not be worthwhile if you fail to secure the Weapon Case during your match.
