Rev your engines, operators!

Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2 brings massive changes to its battle royale gameplay, starting with armored war machines that promise to shake up the game.

In addition to Vanguard’s World War II rides designed for Caldera’s tropical setting, Activision will introduce armored transport trucks and bomber planes that could make or break a Warzone victory.

Armored transport trucks are Caldera’s very own version of Big Bertha, with a few extra surprises.

Aside from their heavily armored exteriors, these steel behemoths feature two machine-gun turrets mounted on their sides. They roam the dusty streets of Caldera on a set looping path, attacking any players in the immediate area.

However, the trucks drop incredibly valuable loot when destroyed, which can help turn the tide of battle in favor of your team. In the rarest instances, they might even drop an intact Nebula V bomb, this season’s deadliest weapon.

The Nebula V bomb is a locked briefcase full of deadly gas with an explosive charge. Once activated by an Operator, it will detonate after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed. The first explosion deals significant damage in a small radius before the gas spreads outwards, damaging any Operator without a gas mask.

It’s a powerful tool for denying an area to enemy squads, potentially changing the game if you’re in a tight situation.

But if you want to take on one of these metal titans, you’ll need to be wary of the mines it drops behind it, and the air support it calls in once it drops to low health.

Watch the skies for bomber planes

If you thought fighter planes brought enough havoc to the skies, Activision has doubled down on the mayhem with its second aerial machine, the bomber plane.

This formidable air-to-ground striker is capable of destroying infantry, vehicles, and even loadout drops. Operators will also have to think twice when utilizing anti-air guns since they too are an easy target for the new plane.

But while these planes may look untouchable in the clouds, Activision says that fighter planes are still a match for them and will be your best bet at taking them down.

Activision is also making some balance tweaks to both the fighter and bomber planes. Both will see their health decrease as part of the Season 2 update, so they are easier to shoot down from the ground.

Resposition with Redeploy Balloons

Season 2 is looking for even more aerial action with the introduction of Redeploy Balloons.

Shown on the Tac Map as a blimp icon, the Redeploy Ballon is a quick-access way to ascend to the skies and reposition. Operators can get up to the balloon via a grounded zipline, then leap off the top and deploy their parachute again. This is very similar to Jump Towers in Apex Legends, which function in the exact same way.

Keep an eye out for enemies though. Planes and weapons can deflate the balloon to stop your great escape. However, if you have enough cash, you can spend a few hundred bucks to reinflate it.
