Where to find Legendary Aether Tool schematics in MW3 Zombies
In MW3 Zombies, you can find the Legendary Aether Tools inside Toolboxes, Aether Caches, and another lootable box inside the Tier 3 zone, Old Town.
Some players have also reported finding a Legendary Aether Tool while looting in the Tier 2 zone.
However, during our runs, we weren’t lucky enough, as, at most, we got the Rare Aether Tool in the Tier 2 zone, whereas, while looting the Tier 3 zone, we got the Legendary Aether Tools more consistently.

That being said, taking out the two Harvester Orbs that you can find in the northeast and south parts of the Old Town also drops Legendary Aether Tools.
Alternatively, you can complete Contracts in the Tier 3 zone, such as Deliver Cargo, Raid Weapon Stash, and Spore Control, to get a Legendary Aether Tool.
Meanwhile, if you complete these Contracts in Tier 1 or Tier 2 zones, you will be mostly getting the Uncommon to Rare Aether Tool with the occasional Legendary Aether Tool drop for Tier 2 zone activities.
Sometimes, high-level enemies like the Mega Abomination also drop a Legendary Aether Tool, so while working your way through Contracts, make sure to take out Mega Abominations.
Remember, the Legendary Aether Tool spawn depends on RNG, so you may have to keep repeating the steps until you find one.
How to get Legendary Aether Tool Schematics in MW3 Zombies
To get the Legendary Aether Tool Schematics, you must summon and defeat the Greylorm boss inside the Aether Storm in the Tier 3 zone. Once you defeat the boss, a Reward Rift will open up.
You can interact with it to get any of the following items along with the usual loot:

The best way to farm the Aether Tools and other such things in MW3 Zombies is by getting the Death Perception power up, as it outlines all the nearby enemies and lootboxes, making the search process a little easier.
Summoning the Greylorm boss in MW3 Zombies
To summon the Greylorm boss, you need four Calibration Data USB sticks which you can find around the map. The location of these USB sticks changes every match, but there is a way to get their exact location while playing.
Head to the Orlov Military Base located in the northeast part of the Urzikstan. Once there, head inside the building marked in the above screenshot.
On the second floor, you will find a big map surrounded by four small maps on the wall. These four maps share the current location of the Calibration Data USB sticks that you can find in that game session.
Compare the map and add markers at the location of the Calibration Data USB sticks. Head to the respective areas, and once you collect four of them, go inside the Aether Storm and insert them inside the Refractor terminals.
Doing so will spawn the Greylorm boss, whom you can defeat for a chance to get the Legendary Aether Tool Schematics. You must keep farming the boss if you don’t get it in the first run. Lastly, ensure you successfully exfil out.
