While some folks have figured out how to play MW3 early offline, others are in real online matches, earning achievements, unlocks, and more.

How to play MW3 early offline – method 1
To play MW3 early offline, you’ll need to follow the steps provided below:

- Disconnect your platform from the internet
- Open up Modern Warfare 3
- When prompted, select go offline
- Choose local multiplayer
- Start a match
How to play MW3 early on PC – method 2
If you want to play online matches early on PC, this one is a bit trickier. This is a bit of bending the rules to get in, and while nobody has been banned and will likely be banned, there is always a risk when finding ways to get around the rules.
This method was provided by lachlanisdumb on X and then shared by _Evdogg, and appears to only work for those who have the game on Steam, not the Battle.net launcher. Some users replying to the post have had issues getting it to work, but _Evdogg has told them to keep trying, and it will eventually work.
To play, follow the steps listed below.
- Launch Call of Duty HQ
- Go into the Modern Warfare 2 section
- Click Multiplayer
- Before it loads, alt-tab out of the game open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL), and end the Call of Duty HQ process
- Go to Steam and immediately click Play when it turns back from stop
This should now launch with the MW3 logo and go straight into the multiplayer menu, avoiding the locked button.
How to play MW3 early on PC – method 3
The other option will require you to know someone who has already gained access to multiplayer in MW3.
All you’ll need to do is join another player’s lobby who is already in multiplayer. Once in, join the firing range and get the party leader to kick you from the party so that you’re now in your own lobby within multiplayer.
This should allow you to keep playing MW3 multiplayer.
