The Elusive Samurai episode 9 is shaping up to bring even more action and suspense as Tokiyuki Hojo and his allies continue their desperate battle to defend the Sawa Grand Temple.
Following the intense clash in episode 8, where Tokiyuki used a new secret technique against Shokan, the stakes have never been higher.
With Yorishige’s reinforcements dwindling and Shokan’s mercenaries still threatening the village, expect to see more challenges thrown at Tokiyuki and his retainers.
Will the young warriors find a way to repel the invading forces, or will Shokan prove too much to overcome?
The Elusive Samurai episode 8 recap
The episode began with Tokiyuki and his group of elusive warriors devising a plan to hold off the invaders from attacking the Sawa Grand Temple. They awaited reinforcements from Yorishige Suwa, whom Shizuku had called for.
Fubuki, the latest member of the elusive warriors, then taught Tokiyuki a new fighting style that perfectly complemented the young heir’s evasive strengths.
The next day, Shokan’s mercenary group attacked the Sawa Grand Temple, only to be met by elaborate traps set by Fubuki and the village children.
As Shokan’s raider force dwindled, his Byakkotsu Seigi attack force managed to infiltrate the village and eliminate the reinforcements from Yorishige. This powerful group of fighters used their allies as fodder to reach the village.
With Shokan and his warriors advancing, Fubuki, Kojiro Nezu, and Ayako Mochizuki confronted the invaders on the battlefield. Kojiro and Ayako struggled against Shokan, unable to penetrate his samurai armor.
Following Fubuki’s plan, Kojiro and Ayako led Shokan into another trap, locking him in a room for a one-on-one duel with Tokiyuki. Meanwhile, Fubuki engaged in battle with two of Shokan’s strongest warriors.
The episode ended with Tokiyuki wounding Shokan using a secret technique he had learned from Fubuki.
