Demon Slayer 2023 movie ending explained
Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira needed to recover from their injuries after they successfully beheaded Upper Rank Six demon siblings Gyutaro and Daki. The youngsters were immediately taken to the Butterfly Mansion after they were found by the Kakushi, the Demon Slayer Corp’s support staff.
Zenitsu and Inosuke recovered from their injuries and were asked to go on separate missions, so don’t expect them to be pivotal characters in the upcoming Swordsmith Village Arc. Meanwhile, Tanjiro needed more time to recover after being poisoned by Gyutaro.
Demon Slayer’s main protagonist wasn’t the only one worst for wear. His Nichirin Sword suffered heavy damage yet again. He then journeyed to the secret village of the Demon Slayer swordsmiths to explain how his sword was so severely damaged to Hotaru Haganezuka, the smith who forged his blade.
After meeting with the chief of the Swordsmith Village, Tanjiro comes across the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, who whispers to him about a mysterious secret weapon that could make him stronger.
This new information causes Tanjiro to search through the forest to look for the secret weapon. He then sees the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, arguing with one of the villagers.
After getting a closer look, Tanjiro sees a mysterious character sporting the same hairstyle as Kokushibo, the highest-ranking member of the Twelve Demon Moons. The Upper Rank One demon is the right-hand man to the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji and was show during the gathering at the start of the movie.
Despite their similar appearance, the mysterious figure in front of Muichiro is not Kokushibo. It is actually the Yoriichi Type Zero, a battle doll created by swordsmiths 500 years ago during the Sengoku Era.
The training dummy is based on Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest Demon Slayer in history and the inventor of Breathing Styles. To match Yoriichi’s fighting prowess, the swordsmiths gave the battle doll six arms and hands that each held a katana.
Fans must wait for the following episode after the premiere of Season 3 to find out what happens next.
